Col Jack Ferman, former CA wg CC, died on 9 May , his wife Florence died last year, but he continued on until the past week. And was still giving $10,000 each year for cadet scholarships
(1 each female, 1 male $5000 each) and his trust will continue to do so in the future. He was not active to any extent in CAP after he left CA WG CC slot, but continued to have a great love for the cadet program in particular.

To all members:

Colonel Jack Ferman, CAP, former CAWG Commander passed away this month.  His memorial service is scheduled for 2 June 2008 at 1700 hrs at Pierce Brother's Valley Oaks (Thousand Oaks) in the Chapel.

Col Ferman and his wife have sponsored the Ferman Award Scholarships for a number of years.   I know the Fermans would appreciate attendance by any available CAP members at the service.  If you are unable to attend, perhaps you might want to hold the Fermans in your prayers during this time.

Thanks,

Ken
