Earlier this afternoon, word was received that Lt Col Pat Starr had lost her on-going battle with cancer and passed away.  She was a long-time member of CAP and a long-time friend to so many in the Washington Wing, the Pacific Region and the Civil Air Patrol.  Pat's life impacted so many.  She will be missed but the memory of her dedicated service will continue to inspire and influence all she touched.

When the date, time and location of Pat's memorial service will be conducted have been finalized, the information will be shared.

Ch (Maj) Danny Riggs (WAWG) has provided the following information regarding the memorial services for Lt Col Pat Starr:
 
The family service will be this Saturday afternoon and Chaplain (Lt Col) Don Starr  -- former WAWG and PCR HC -- will be the lead minister and Chaplain Riggs will assist him.
 
 
The Wing service will be the next Saturday, 22 Nov., 1400, at Chapel 1 on McChord. There will be a reception afterwards.
 
In lieu of flowers a stuffed animal may be given (they have actively supported the Red Cross and other groups who use these) or a gift to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
 
If you are planning to attend the Wing Service, please notify Chaplain Riggs (riggs1949@aol.com -- 253-576-9921 or 253-582-8180) and he can provide you with more information.
