In May of 2007, we lost Lt. Col Robert Daniels.  His passing was unexpected and a shock to everyone.  Bob was a member of Van Nuys Hawker Sq128.  Less than a year later, his wife, Jane, also passed on.

Bob was an extremely dedicated CAP member and was working Base Air Ops at a training mission the day before he died.  Two days before, he had successfully completed a Form 5 checkride.  His positive attitude and willingness to help out was an inspiration to us all.  He was a friend and mentor to every one of us.   His wife Jane, although not a CAP member, supported Bob in all of his CAP activities and was part of the CAP extended family.  They are both sorely missed.

The attached picture reminds us of Bob and Jane's joy and enthusiasm for life.
